Had a brief trip back to DC that was amazing, with great weather, great food, and a great time seeing friends. And in other news, it baffles but pleases me that the Carolina Panthers are 7-0, UNC football is 7-1 (inconceivable!), and UNC basketball is ranked #1 preseason. They managed to come out of the first leg of Champions League play with 3 points, shockingly the only English side to do so, and then return to disappointing me in PL. Just a thought on the killing of civilians that Israel is "forced" to carry out. If Hamas in its entirety were gathered together in a building, but that building was surrounded by Jewish settlers likely to be killed or injured, would Israel strike it? The obvious answer to that ( Read more... )

The World Cup rekindled my identity issues (as always) and need for football RPF. A lot of old LJ stuff is locked or deleted now, so I went hunting on AO3. Here are a few recs!
